Obituary of Patricia Marie Goglia

Patricia Marie Fatima Sheeran Goglia passed on January 19, 2021 at St. Clare’s Hospital Dover.  She shared 65 years of love with her family.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00PM at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Myers Ave, Denville.  Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.  Friends and relatives may visit Tuesday morning from 10a.m. to 12 noon at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. Patty was born in Englewood NJ on March 14, 1955 to the late William and Mary Sheeran. She was one of four daughters to bless the family.  After graduating Morris Knolls HS in 1973, she attended business classes at CCM and worked for Vernado.  She settled in Cedar Grove, NJ until moving back to her beloved Indian Lake, Denville in 1993.  She loved her time in Denville and enjoyed all the community had to offer and being closer to family. Patty, in her health was an avid knitter and crocheter. She loved bowling as well.

Patty was medically retired from Verizon.  She started her career when the phone company was NJ Bell and advanced her career through many stages with ATT and Verizon. Her career training was in computer programming. 

She leaves her dear sisters Mary McCall of Las Vegas NV (the late Bearl) and Irene Hansen (John) of Cambridge MD; her Aunts, Margaret Buechner (the late George) of Lake Ronkonkoma NY; Nancy Schiffer (Joseph) of Lindenhurst NY, her Uncles, Edward McGlynn (Alana) of Goodyear AZ, Denis Sheeran of Saratoga Springs NY; nieces and nephews Victoria Tabb (Jason) of San Clemente CA, Bill (Crystal) Landgraf of Medford OR, Brian (Julie) McCall of Las Vegas NV; Kathleen (Michael) Mazzerina of Myrtle Beach SC, Sean D’Amico of Rockaway NJ, Veronica D’Amico of Rockaway NJ, Catherine Hansen of Cambridge MD, Amanda (Ray) Tisler of Columbia MD, their children, Briella & Joseph Tisler and Erica (Gardner) Walden of Raleigh NC and their child Jameson Walden; her great nieces and nephews, Anthony D’Amico, Joshua, Abigail and Isaac Tabb, Scott McCall, Jake Croteau,; her cousins Rosemary, Peggy of Wilmington DE & Bobbie Rzucidlo of Ohio and their children. Danielle Calarusso,(Jeff) of NJ ,and their children, Ryan, Kevin, Sean, Breelagh, Braedon. Denis Sheeran,(Carrie) NJ, and their children; Elizabeth, Katherine, Daniel and Lillian, David Sheeran,(Wendy) PA  and their child, Emma.George (Kim), Sydney & Taylor Buechner, Kenneth Buechner, Doreen Buechner of NY, Joseph (Sheree) Schiffer of CA, Bonnie,(Michael) Liam & Nieve DeLuca of NY, & Kirsten & Maggie Schiffer of NY.Laura Lee McGlynn and her children Ashleigh, Sydney & Finley & Pheobe (Jim) Moffatt and their children, LillianSkye and Walter.

Patty also leaves behind her loving caregivers Ana Evanko, Nimfa Castillo and the Schiffer’s.  Because of them, Patty has been able to have ten years of quality life from their love and care. Her parents and her sister Betty A. D’Amico died previously.
