Obituary of Eileen M. McClain
Eileen M. McClain (O’Grady) passed away at her home in Denville, NJ on January 15, 2021, at the age of 88.
Born and raised in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NY, she lived in West Hempstead, L.I. NY before moving to the Indian Lake section of Denville, NJ in 1965.
Eileen was a member of the Indian Lake Community Club and could often be found sitting on the beach by the lake. She was also a member of St. Mary’s Church in Denville and had a passion for playing tennis. Above all else she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years Joseph R. McClain in 2010.
Eileen is survived by her loving children Kevin and (Donna) McClain of Calhoun, GA, Michael McClain of Denville, Brian (Tara) McClain of Florida, Tim and(Elizabeth) McClain of Mine Hill, Daniel and (Lorraine) McClain of Chester, and Nancy McClain of Denville, NJ. She is also survived by her 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren as well as her sister in-laws Alice O’Grady. Kathleen O’Grady and her brother in-law Ed McClain.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 18, 2021, from 4:00PM – 8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
A Liturgy of Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Church in Denville and will be live streamed by visiting St. Mary's website by clicking here: Burial will follow at Denville Cemetery.
