Nicholas J. Partenope, DDS

Nicholas Joseph Partenope, age 91, of Rockaway died of natural causes peacefully at home on  Sunday, January 3, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Nicholas was born in West New York, NJ, was raised in Rahway and lived most of his years in Fairlawn. Nicholas attended Seton Hall University, graduated from Georgetown University Dental School and held a Masters Degree of General Dentistry. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a parishioner of St. Anne’s Church, past president of the Cosmos Club and took great pride in the respect he earned as a Dentist in Fair Lawn for 41 years.

He was a generous, charitable, hardworking man who enjoyed life and always placed his loved ones first. His best days were sharing meals with his big family, enthusiastically watching his grandchildren on the sports fields, spending time with the family dogs, fishing, golf and sharing a good laugh and a great cigar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years June (nee Gorga) and his devoted children of Mountain Lakes Denise (Mark) Schoenfeld, Nicole (Thomas) Renna, Bonny (Roger) Neiman, and Danielle (Jim) Fidacaro; his grandchildren Ryan Kielty (Hannah), Shaun Bartell ( Ryan), Lane Dorr (Garrett), Hilary Dougherty (Ryan), Adam Kielty, Jordan Renna ( Tom Glancey), Bergen Schoenfeld, Zoe, Nick, Jake Fidacaro, and great grandchildren Madison Dunn, Dillie Bartell, Nora Dougherty.

He will be greatly missed and remembered with humor and love by his 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He leaves many joyful, lasting memories in the hearts of all who knew him.
