Please share your memories here.  Her family will cherish them forever.

Mercedes was born on a sunny January day in 1945 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Andriola.  She was raised in Queens.  After her schooling she settled down and started her family.  She was a doting Mom and an amazing homemaker.  She worked hard to ensure her family had everything they needed and most importantly, love always. She was a Mt Arlington resident for over 50 years and donated much of her time to her beloved community.  She served as the Captain of the Mt Arlington Rescue Squad and always was available to lend a hand.  She retired from her long time career as a medical assistant in Morristown, NJ.  This gave her more time to enjoy the things she loved the most- her family and nature.  She was an avid bird watcher and lover and she always made sure her feeders were full for the birds and small critters who lived outdoors.

Her greatest accomplishment and source of pride was of course her family. The sun rose and set on her grandchildren and she loved sharing them.  Although we are saddened by her passing we take comfort in knowing she is at peace and beaming over us from above.

She leaves joyful memories to her children Debra Dorando (Kevin Glenn), Michael (Kristen), Christopher (Leslie); her adored granddaughters Amanda, Aliana and Mya; her step brother Richard Andriola; dear cousin Mary Ellen Prichett and many more relatives and friends.
