I met Jack when I walked into his bike shop and asked if he had mountain bikes. Looking at me as though I was from Mars, Jack swept his arm to the left and said "a few" as I realized I was standing in front of a row of at least 15... From this inauspicious beginning developed a good and close friendship that I will miss deeply. Jack and Angie were our first guests when my wife and I set up our first apartment and Jack bravely drank the coffee we served that could have patched roads. We had many many meals together and rode our bikes together as Jack coached me along. Many visits to one another's homes, dinners and cookouts, stories, and jokes, too many to list.
His humor, his wit, his passion are memories I will carry with me always.
Rest easy my dear friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this heartbreaking time. Many fond and funny memories of “Dad K”. I remember his stories, jokes and laughter... contagious laughter! Many practical jokes he’d play on everyone, myself included. My heart is broken for his family, they truly loved him and he loved them. I hope he’s hiking amongst the stars and moon. He’ll forever be remembered by all that knew him and he’ll live on forever in the hearts of those that loved him and will now being their Guardian Angel. Rest Easy Dad K....
