It is with a heavy heart that I write this brief note expressing my deepest condolences to the Sherr family on the passing of their beloved mom and grandmother. For me and her other friends on both sides of the Atlantic, a huge void has been created by her passing. As someone who had known Terri (her American friends called her Terri while many of her English friends called her Thelma) for over 30 years, I am deeply saddened by her passing.
Terri possessed a rare combination of exuberance for living in the day to day, coupled with the charm and reserve of a true English woman with a bit a pizzazz thrown in for good measure. I first met Terri back in the early 1980’s when she was working at a retail cosmetic store called Cosmetic Plus in NYC and I was looking for a job. We hit it off right away and although I had no retail or cosmetic experience, she hired me on the spot. A deep and lasting friendship grew from that first day and continued over the ensuing 30 + years.
Terri was a loving and dear friend who I loved like a second mum. In fact, we lived together as roommates on Roosevelt Island for a few years when I was working in retail. She also joined me and my husband Sal for an extended vacation while we were living in London and we were able to celebrate one of her birthdays with her. This and so many other wonderful memories have flooded my consciousness ever since I found out about her passing. I will hold all of these memories close to my heart and will cherish them forever. I will simply close by saying a light has dimmed over the proverbial marquee on Broadway marking the passing of our dear Terri. May you rest in peace and have His love guide and care for you eternally. You will be missed. Xo Ron and Sal.

I always enjoyed talking with Terri; she was very funny! My favorite memory is Terri, Marc and Nancy being the first to sing at our wedding to have us kiss. She will be missed!
