He was a great neighbor to my Dad and Mom, Josef and Krystina Kalwa. He helped them out a lot, especially during power outages. Have fond memories of him.

I had a chance to get to know Bob a little when he became an IPF Ambassador. The world has lost a kind, sensitive, witty, gentlemanly human... but BOY did he love his family! My deepest condolences.

We will always remember the twinkle in Bob's eyes and the pure joy he displayed when speaking with him. Bob was visibly animated when relating stories of his children and beloved grandchildren. His love for them was unwavering. The love Bob and Cheryl shared never lost the glow of youthfulness and mutual admiration. Their devotion to one another warms the heart. Bob was genuinely engaged in the life events of those he considered friends and put true value on those friendships. We will forever hold him in our hearts.
With Love to the whole family,
Lorri, Bob & Evan Lipka

Back in July 2017 Bob and I trained together for several days as patient ambassadors for the IPF drug we both were taking. Among the seven trainees Bob stood out for his extraordinary courage and for his way of sharing with others his positive view of each day he lived and inspiring them to try and achieve at least some small measure of the joy he felt even in the face of great adversity. Everyone who knew him will miss him greatly.

My heart hurts today hearing of Bob's passing. We sang together for many years in a group called Wednesday's Children. He was fun, friendly, and one of my dearest friends. Heartfelt sympathy to Cheryl and his family.

Bob was, in many important ways, a surrogate father to my sons Michael and Brian. They loved his stories, his imagination, and his playful attitude. He will be missed at Christmas in Rochester NY. Christmas didn't begin though until he checked out the nearby Wegman's Grocery Store. I have fond memories of our times in Long Beach Island. Bob was one-of-a-kind, and will be so very missed.
