Obituary of Rudy A. Chamberlain

Please share a memory of Rudy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rudy Andres Chamberlain passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He had shared 81 years of unconditional love, perseverance, infectious laughter, and incredible memories with family and friends.

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica to the late George and Juanita Chamberlain in 1938, he was one of two children to bless the Chamberlain household. When Rudy was four years old his family relocated to the U.S. and settled into New York City. Following his high school graduation, he joined the US Army in 1959. When he returned home in 1962 with an Honorable Discharge, he attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City, ultimately graduating from Rutgers University. He married his soulmate, Beverly, on November 2, 1963. Together they spent a couple of years in Rutherford, and several years in Rockaway Township before finding their forever home in Denville in 1976. In Denville, Rudy and Beverly raised their three girls, Kimberly, Kristine, Kathryn. A true entrepreneur and go-getter, Rudy led by example and began his own business, Chamberlain Limited, a graphic design and advertising firm. With lots of hard work and dedication, he successfully ran the business for over 30 years, retiring in the early 2000’s. He was a phenomenal husband, extraordinary father, and excellent provider of love, knowledge and wisdom for real life.

Rudy loved to play tennis and was a member of the Rockaway River Country Club. A collector of fine things, he had many Lionel trains, antique and sports cars throughout the years. Above anything else, his family was his pride and joy and most time spent was with them. He loved to play tennis with Beverly and the girls, and take many family vacations in Walt Disney World in Florida. Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his adored daughter, Kathryn Lee Siter, his sister, Jane “Jenny” Massey, and his parents.

His legacy will continue in the hearts of his beloved wife, Beverly; his treasured daughters, Kimberly Chamberlain and her partner Michael Weinstein and Kristine Chamberlain and her partner Nick Kerno; his loving son-in-law, Michael Siter; his cherished grandchildren; Nicholas Fiorelli, Lewis DeAngelis IV, Jenna Fiorelli, Matthew Fiorelli, Andrew DeAngelis, and Jillian Fiorelli; his caring brother-in-law, Bob Massey; his faithful pup, Chloe; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 28th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Monday, July 27th from 6 - 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted by way of www.inmemof.org to either the American Heart Association or the Lupus Research Alliance. Please light a candle, leave a condolence, and share your favorite memory of Rudy here to continue to celebrate the amazing life he endowed with us.
