Mary was a Special Angel; a Daughter, Sister, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma,Great Grandmother and to me a caring and supporting soul. Remember my first encounter was when I dated her daughter and my future wife, Marlene; she welcomed me to her family without hesitation. Despite our eventual breakup; Mary remained supportive and understanding of me. My Mom,Dad and Sister loved Mary and she has now has joined them in a better place. From my wife Carol and Daughter Julia she leaves us filled with fond memories and love. God Bless our dear Angel.

I was very saddened to hear of Mary's passing. I always enjoyed hearing her tell stories of her life in Newark in the 40s when it was a simpler time. She always had kinds words for friends and family at the various family functions. She was a great lady and she will be missed by all who knew her. Sincere condolences to the family.

Nana was always a highlight of my many visits to the Battaglia home when Christina, Mike and I would drop off Patrick and Ryan before heading out for a concert or other activity. She was a delightful person to chat with during those brief visits. Although she most certainly will be missed, especially by family, rejoice for she has stepped through the door to eternal bliss. My sincerest condolences to Marlene, Nicky, Christina and Mike. May Nana rest in eternal peace.
