Obituary of Joan Harris

“Joan Harris, a longtime resident of Livingston, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, of 62 years in 2013.  Born on December 11, 1929, she was raised in Verona, N.J.  Mrs. Harris attended Syracuse University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English.  Later in life, she attended Montclair State University where she received a teaching certificate.  Then, she taught English literature at Summit High School in Summit, N.J.  Mrs. Harris is survived by her three loving children, John, Todd, and Anne Seijas.  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Services will be held privately with arrangements made under the direction of Norman Dean Funeral Home, Denville, N.J.”
