Obituary of Asako Awano

Asako Awano passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. She had shared 89 years of unconditional love, laughter, and amazing memories with family and friends.

Born and raised in Yamagata, Japan she was the oldest of two children to bless the Awano household. A natural-born caregiver, she had a passion for keeping a clean house, food on the table, and beautiful yard. Asako had a successful 20-year career as a Sales Representative at Manikin Club in Tokyo before retiring. She began her family and raised her children in Japan before relocating to Denville 30 years ago. 

She leaves only joyful memories to her adored children, Jacklyn Murphy and Michael Murphy; and her cherished granddaughter, Julia Murphy.
