Obituary of Francesca Gambino
Francesca Gambino, passed peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2020. She shared 95 years of love with her family. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 9th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Denville. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 2-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville. Donations in her memory may be made to the good work of St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital by way of www.inmemof.org
Francesca was born in 1924 in Torretta, Palermo Italy. In 1966 she immigrated with her husband and children to the US. She was a wonderful homemaker and wife and a beautiful Mother. She was the proudest Nonna to her eight grandchildren and her 21 great grandchildren. Although we are saddened by her passing we are comforted knowing she is with her dear husband Carmelo and her beloved son Giovanni once again.
She leaves her daughters Rosa DiMaggio (Gaetano) and Anna Ustica (Giovanni); her grandchildren John DiMaggio (Tracy), Carmelo DiMaggio (Maria), Anthony DiMaggio (Sandra), Frances Terranova (Pietro), Rosalia Gambino, Robert Ustica (Rocio), Claudio Ustica (Nancy) and Joseph Ustica (Dawn); her sisters Grazia, Maria, Josephine and Susie; and many more dear relatives and friends.
