"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind." With heavy hearts we share the passing of Denise L. Quartermaine. Her beautiful smile brightened our lives for 46 years and we will forever see it in our memories. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit between 3 & 6 that day. Flowers are lovely, but for those who wish, donations in her name may be made to the good work of the National Brain Tumor Society by way of www.inmemof.org Denise fought a good fight and their mission meant so much to her. Please share your memories here. Her family will cherish them forever. Denise was born to Betty and Art on October 17, 1973. She was the second daughter to bless the family. She graduated Parsippany High in 1992 and then headed off to Emory University. After graduating with her BA in Liberal Arts, she headed west to California. She enjoyed over 20 years in sunny California where she made lifelong friendships and established herself. She worked as an event planner for some time and then in a career 360 she put herself through Whittier Law School, where she graduated Cum laude, earning her JD. She was intelligent, bright, funny, meticulous, level headed and her company was always enjoyed. Denise was always up for a good time, anytime! Most recently she served as Assistant General Counsel and VP for Frontier Real Estate Investment Co. She loved the work as well as her fellow employees. In her time away, she always enjoyed a California sunset, touring wineries with her friends. She loved planning adventures for her and her friends and loved sharing her time, she was well traveled. Above everything, Denise loved her family. Her home was cluttered with pictures of her niece and nephew and she always strived to get them the coolest gifts. She loved traveling east for the holidays to be back together with the family. She came home this past Christmas and passed peacefully at her folks surrounded by her loved ones. Although we are broken hearted, we take comfort in knowing we have the most beautiful Angel watching over us always. She leaves only joyful and memories to her Mom and Dad, Arthur and Betty Quartermaine; her sister and brother in aw Michele and Jay Kochmer; her niece Christine, nephew Matthew; and many more dear relatives, friends and colleagues.
