Obituary of Justin James Reeck
Please share a memory of Justin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
"Where there is darkness, there once was light.
Let his light shine."
Justin James Reeck passed away on January 11, 2020. He was 36 years young, and has left us broken hearted, but grateful for having had him bless our lives. He was our son, our brother, our friend, our strength, our fighter. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 10 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ. Friends & relatives may visit on Friday, January 17th from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you always be your best self. Those who wish to help in any way may contact the funeral home. Any help to offset expenses is much appreciated.
Justin was born in the Bronx and at a young age moved to Denville with his parents. Soon he was the older brother to a brother and a sister! Justin was always a loving brother looking out for the kids. As a boy he excelled in soccer, baseball, football and even spent some time with the marching band. After high school he earned his Associates from Morris County. He seemed to find his niche when he took to personal training. He did the work and soon was a certified personal trainer. He was a gym rat through and through and truly enjoyed helping others reach their fitness goals.
Justin had a childhood heart about him. He was loving and kind and didn’t take life too seriously. He was enthusiastic about life, his music and always March Madness. True to his Bronx beginning, Justin was a diehard NY Yankee fan. He also cheered on his beloved NY Giants. He loved animals, especially his pup Paco. Those two were inseparable. It begs the question- who saved who?
He was an amazing son, friend and all around good soul. You could count on him to be there when times got tough. When his Dad was ill, Justin rose to the occasion and helped tremendously. In August of 2016 he lost one of his best friends and confidants when his Dad passed. We know that they are embracing once again.
Justin possessed an amazing spirit which has never left us. We loved him in this life and will always keep him in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace and rest.
He leaves his Mom Linda Reeck (Ralph Epright); Brother Andrew Reeck (Michael Morano); Sister Lisa McKay (Ryan); his girlfriend Melissa Thomas; his loyal canine Paco; his Aunts Maureen Milici and Stephanie Boffice; Uncles Michael Milici and Fred Smarrito; cousins Anna and Andrea Boffice and Anthony Milici and many more dear relatives and friends.
His Dad Jim Reeck, his Aunt Rita Reeck and his Grandparents John and Yolanda Smarrito whom he was adored by passed previously.
