Obituary of Inger Evelyn Halvorsen

Mrs. Inger Evelyn Halvorsen died on Tuesday August 20, 2002 at St. Barnabas Medical Center Livingston, NJ. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Halvorsen was born in Haugesund, Norway. She arrived in the United States on February 20, 1930 and lived in the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway Township for many years. She was a clerk at the Siros Pharmacy in Rockaway Boro for many years before retiring in 1981. Mrs. Halvorsen was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lake Telemark Country Club, and the Rockaway Township Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. Halvorsen was the wife of the late Aksel M. who died on March 2, 1966. She was the mother of the late John Peter Halvorsen I and the late Edward Halvorsen. Grandmother of John Peter Halvorsen II of Houston, TX and Edward C. Halvorsen of Dallas, TX. Great Grandmother of Sarah Kyoko and Elise Sachi Halvorsen. Mother in Law of Patricia Halvorsen of Houston, TX. Sister of Sven Eike of Rockaway Township, NJ and the late Petry Maeland. Aunt of Ingrid Soland and Erling Maeland both of Norway, Lorraine Benderoth of Mt. Arlington, NJ and Douglas Eike of Rockaway Township, NJ and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway Township, NJ on Saturday August 24, at 10:0AM Interment Marcella Cemetery Rockaway Township, NJ.
