Obituary of Hobart David Erickson

Hobie Erickson Jr., 58, died on Wednesday Feb. 20, 2008 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville.
He was born in Dover to Hobart Sr. and Grace Finley, and lived in Denville his whole life.
He was a Professional Fire Fighter with the State of New Jersey. He worked at Greystone Park Fire Department since 1995, prior he had worked at Lyons Veterans Hospital in Lyons, NJ.
Hobies Life was the Denville Fire Department, where has been serving since 1970. He had been Chief in 1991, and is a dive master on their dive team. He is a member of the Denville Fire Association and is an Exempt Fireman.
He has also owned and operated Hobies Tree Service in Denville, NJ.
He is survived by his wife Diane Moore, his children Jim Erickson of Lavallette, NJ, Megin Erickson, Jessica Dreyer, Sande Dreyer all of Denville, Jennifer Erickson of S. C. and Bradley Erickson of Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren Billy Pugsley, Natalie Diana Dreyer, Austin Erickson, Brooke Erickson, Bradley Erickson, and Hunter Erickson, as well as his father and step mother Hobart Sr. and Lois Erickson of Donalds, SC.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Feb. 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Saviour 155 Morris Ave. Denville, NJ.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
Fireman Services will be held on Sat. morning at 9:45 AM.
