Michael Caperino of Rockaway Township, New Jersey passed away July 20, 2002.
Born in Hoboken he had lived in Secaucus for 30 years before moving to Rockaway.
He worked as a driver for Teamsters #560 in Jersey City, and Clfton, NJ for 27 years before retiring in 1980. He then went on to work as an executive driver for the Post Office for 20 years, retiring in 1999. Until recently he had been driving the Jittney bus at Fox Hills in Rockaway Twp.
He had served in the United States Army, and was a proud Past Commander of the American Legion Post #118 in Secaucus, NJ. He also volunteered for the Teamsters kiddie day committee.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (ORourke), and Loving son; Michael K. Caperino, andhis wife Lisa. A Loving daughter; Linda Caperino, and Grandchild Alyssa Nicole Caperino. He is also survived by a sister; Jean Ferris, and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services will be on Wednesday July 24, at 9AM for a 10:15AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Bernards Church in Rockaway Twp.(Mt. Hope Section).
