I heard the news of Uncle Tom's death with sadness but also many fond memories. One thing about Uncle Tom that always stood out was his panache. Whether in his sense of humor or his clothes Uncle Tom definitely had style. I remember about 10 years ago when Uncle Tom gave me all of his old leisure suits from the sixties and seventies. These were by no means hand- me- downs but an eagerly received gift. The flair bell bottoms and snappy suits told me that here was a man who truly dressed to be cool. And even thirty years after they were purchased, my friends all raged about what a neat set of clothes this gift was.
Anyone who knew Uncle Tom, definitely knew his sense of humor. He was a man who loved laughing and wasn't afraid to see things as he saw them which always resulted in a good laugh.
Uncle Tom was a loving and laughing man.
Family was very important to him. For New Years I would see him at my Uncle Roger's and was always glad to see his big grin.
It was a tough year for Uncle Tom, losing his younger brother and brothers in law. I will miss him and really regret not seeing him more the past years. I am sure he is smiling with the Lord now. Amen.

You will be missed Uncle Tom. You drove my parents to the delivery center where they had me 25 years ago, and you were a good friend and a great uncle ever since. You are with your brothers now, and I am sure they are happy to be with you again too.
