I remember Betty with warm thoughts. After Aunt Gladys passed away we used to visit with Uncle Jim & Betty. She was devoted to him. Our sympathy for her immediate & extended families. My Mother, Catharine DeShazo, also sends her sympathies. We will not be able to attend the wake as I have to work and my Mother is laid up with a bad shoulder.

I feel blessed to have had my Grandmother for 90 years. I am very thankful for being able to see and talk with her on Thursday afternoon. I was able to tell her that I love her and that I was praying for her. Her biggest concern was that she had all of the family worried and that she was sorry that we had to leave work early. I told her that she was my Grandmother and that this is where I wanted to be, with her. Mary Ann and I told her that she was always concerned about all of us kids for all those years and how it was time for us to worry and take care of her now. Of course one of the last things she and I talked about was my boy's, she told me not to scare them regarding her condition and she smiled when I told her I would bring them to see her after school on Friday. Unfortunely she passed early Friday morning, but my boy's said a special prayer for their Great-Grandmother before they went to bed on Thursday night and they asked God to make her better and their prayers were answered, she is not sick or in pain anymore, she is in Heaven with the angels.
My youngest son's Sunday School class sang in church today and he told me after he sang, that he sang nice and loud so that Great-Grandma could hear him in Heaven.
This candle is lite in memory of my Grandmother, a wonderful, caring, loving and memorable women, God Bless her always and forever.
Love your grandaughter, Stacey
