Carrie Spera, 91, died on Sunday at the Regency Grande in Dover, New Jersey following a long illness.
She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Rocco and Rose Pandone. She has been a resident of Franklin Square, New York for the last 22 years.
Carrie was a seamstress and a homemaker throughout her life.
While living in Brooklyn she had been a communicant of St. Catherine of Genoa R. C. Church where she had been a member of their Rosary Society.
Her husband John died on January 3, 1985, and her grandson James Riccio died on March 16, 1996.
She is survived by her daughter Catherine Haynes of Rockaway. Her three grandchildren Joseph Riccio, John and Pietrina Riccio, and Jane and James Ciardi. She also has three great grandchildren Coley and Anne Marie Campbell, Julia Riccio, and Catherine and James Mohrle, and one great great granddaughter Emily Mohrle.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ on Thursday January 10, 2008 at 8:30 AM for a 9:30 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Cecilias R. C. Church on Church Street in Rockaway, NJ.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
