Margaret Lillian Smolinski (nee Koenig) of Morris Plains, NJ passed away of natural causes at her home on January 1, 2008.
She was the loving wife of Henry Smolinski for 45 years before his passing in 1990.
She is survived by her son Robert, of Andover, NJ, her daughter Karen Herzog of Easton, PA, 9 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren, all of whom loved Grandma Birdie as the matriarch of the family. Also mourning her loss is her brother Robert Koenig of Montclair, NJ.
One of the greatest generation, she lived a rich life full of music, flowers, and the love of her entire family.
She was active in the Mt. Tabor Seniors, the Garden State Harmonica Club, the Veterans of WWII Army 8th Air Force, and every garage sale held in the greater Morris County area.
She will be missed but not forgotten.
Funeral at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Saturday January 5, at 10AM. Friends may visit on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
