Obituary of M. Otto Erdmann

M. Otto Erdmann, 72, died on Monday Nov. 12, 2007 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. He was a loving husband, a proud father and an extremely proud grandfather.
He was born in New York City and raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ, moving to Denville over forty years ago.
Otto graduated from Newark College of Engineering in 1957 and received a Masters Degree in Engineering in 1962.
He retired from ITT in Nutley, NJ after 35 years, most recently as a Director of International Defense Communications.
He was a holder of several US patents and was an accomplished accordion and piano player.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria Marro, as well as his children, Laura Erdmann-Bouziane and her husband Jon Chaitt of Santa Clarita, CA, Derek Erdman of Oak Hill, VA, Carl and his wife Jenny Erdmann of Vienna, VA, Jennifer and her husband Chris DelMonte of Morris Twp., NJ, and Andrew Erdmann and his fiancee Tania Stakhiv of Hoboken, NJ.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Adam, Ryan, Lauren, Lindsey, Luke, Emma, Isabel, and Christopher.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial Service will be held on Friday Nov. 16, 2007 at St. Marys RC Church in Denville, NJ.
