Well, it's snowing Mom, I knew I would've been getting a phone call to hurry home, and maybe stop at Wal Mart to pick up your prescriptions and some bread before the roads got too bad. I really miss you.

Dear Mom,
I started to write this five times and just can't begin to know where to start, except to say that I love you and I miss you. You took care of us and were so strong for so long. You had more than your share of pain; physical and otherwise, and yet for such a long time you set an example of strength and courage that I will never forget. I am, and have always been so very proud of you.
Your loving son,
Ray

Dolores, I never called her Dee, had a perpetual smile on her face and a great laugh. I have such happy memories of her dancing in our living room on Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn to records on the old phonograph. She was always so accommodating, like the time I called her and asked her to hum the Campbell's Soup theme, a popular promotion at the time. She did several times until she realized it was hoax. I kidded her about that for a long time. Karen and family, your mom was an extra-special person who will be missed by so many. She had such a loving heart. My thoughts are with you and your family. And Dolores, I hope your humming!
Love,
Barbara Cortegiano, Pat DiBlasio's sister.

"Courageous" is what Dee was all about. In spite of all the obstacles in front of her, she was able to always go forward and put her family first, above everything. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. My deepest condolences to all.

I can't tell you all how sorry I am. I love the fact you mentioned her sense of humor in this article. That's what I will choose to remember about her most. I will never forget the car ride with her to PA with her singing "Gloria" at the top of her lungs. The more we complained, the louder she would sing. Your house was always filled with love & laughter. Those are the times you need to hold onto. I never thought I'd miss someone calling me "trouble", but I think I will now. If you need anything at all, please call - anytime.
