Obituary of Harold John Foley

Harold J. Foley, 85, died on Thur. Nov. 8, 2012 at Care One at Madison in Morristown, NJ.
He was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and moved to Denville in 1958.
He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII as an MP in the Philippines. After the war he went
to work in the trucking industry and retired in 1981 from the Denver-Chicago Trucking Co.
in North Bergen, NJ, where he had been a Loading Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Helen, and his children Robert, Jeanne and John Grip,
Claire Foley, Susanne Foley and Lynn and Patrick McAndrew all of Denville, and Donald Foley
of Blairstown, along with his seven grandchildren Janna Dorer, Skye Foley, Sean Grip, Kari Grip,
Kate McAndrew, Ryan McAndrew, and Aidan McAndrew.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Robert of Virginia Beach, VA, Eugene of Andover,
Raymond of Vero Beach, Fla., Dolores Sulkowski of Georgetown, Del., Theresa Humpreys of
Virginia Beach, VA and Joan Obiedzinski of Kenilworth, NJ.
He was a devoted husband and father and his easy-going good nature made him well loved by family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's
Church in Denville, NJ.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at the
Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
