We were in Florida when your letter came. I am so sorry we missed the service. I'm at a loss, I'm just so sorry! She will be missed by Joe and I. This has been a terrible year, for our family as well. Please know that you are in our prayer's .

To the Kirby family,
I did not know Joan, but would love to have known her! Without even knowing her, she touched my life.
I am a resident of Boonton and happened to read that beautiful memorial of Joan's life.
I was touched by the extent of Joan's life and her involvement with so many people, places and organizations. She truly lived a full life!
I know she is in heaven among many wonderful souls, namely my Mom. I am sure she will welcome Joan with open arms!

Mrs. Kirby is a light that will shine on through the precious love she passed on to her children. She would walk into our salon with a smile that brightened up the whole place. We will miss her charm but will always remember her bright and exuberant smile.

I am a friend of Caryn's. I only had the privilege to meet your mom/wife/friend once. I will never forget the experience! She had a presence which made me feel as though I had known her for a long time. My sincere thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. I have many regrets, but most of all I regret that you never met Alia and Dayshawn. They are both truly unique and beautiful children. I do know in my heart that you do know that I loved you and that you loved me. I wish I could have said goodbye, but I guess I grew up a little too late to be given that chance. I miss you, but I've missed you for a long time now. I truly wanted to make things right before it was too late, but now it is, and I have to live with that for the rest of my life. No one understands how I feel right now, but I believe with everything I am that you are looking over me, Katelynne, Dayshawn and Alia and you are smiling and finally proud.
