Obituary of Charles H. Ryan

Charles "Herb" Ryan died on Sunday February 25, 2007 at the the Franciscan Oaks Health Center, he was 88.
Born in Brooklyn NY, he was a resident of Mountain Lakes for over forty-five years and has been a resident of Denville since 2001.
Charles served in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a 2nd Lt. Bombardier.
He was the District Manager for General Foods in Clifton for over thirty-seven years retiring in 1980.
Charles loved classical music, quotes, words, history and a fine cigar.
His first wife Ellen Ruth Ryan predeceased him in 1980 and his second wife Elizabeth predeceased him in 2001.
Surviving are Herbs and Ellen's eight daughters Nancy and Richard Sullivan, Jane and Bill Garland, Susan and Frank Clark, Barbara and Al Wiedman, Roberta and Ken Satz, Marjorie and Ken Oberst, Carol and Glenn Garlatti, and Phyllis and Bob Kunzel. Also surviving are nineteen Grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services for Charles will be held at the Community Church in Mountain Lakes on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at 11:00am. Visitation will be on Tuesday February 27, 2007 from 7-9pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Ave Denville NJ 07834. www.normandean.com
