Uncle Hector,
I Wrote You a Note and put it in Your Casket.
It is very true GOD IS REAL because if he wasn't i wouldn't of seen the signs you gave me like in the sky it said
"i love you too" and in math class it said Aunt Andreas E-Mail and for the "Do-Now" it crossed out the 666 which is the devil sign which means you went to Heaven. which means you answered my letter when i asked of you went if you went to Heaven. Thank You for answering my letter
Love you always and forever,
Your Niece Shannon James

Andrea, Tanya and Nick,
I want to express my condolences on the loss of your husband/father and a friend to many. I learned of Hector's passing from a friend who saw it in the paper and then had the chance to speak with Charles last week about what you all went through over the last seven months. As Charles said to me and I am sure you have heard it,as sad as his loss must make you feel, you and your family need to celebrate his life and as time goes on it will constantly bring a smile to your face and a warm spot in your heart. My memories of Hector probably cover more than 20 years. One of the first, is that it was Hector who helped convinced me that I could start my own accounting practice. There are many others. There was the Friday night that he took me along to show me what it was like to collect rents, a "real" education, the basketball we used to play down in Paterson and then in the back of the bar in Clifton, going to Giant and Jet games and then of course playing golf together. Some of my other thoughts of Hector include how proud he was of Tanya when she was in Footloose (I took my entire family to see that) and how much he enjoyed coaching and watching Nick play B-ball. As I write this it is bringing a smile to my face and I hope someday it will yours. Your Husband/father accomplished quite a bit during his lifetime and he and his partners did it all on their own. Next to his family, this to me was my most impressive memory of Hector and for that I have always had the utmost respect for him and his partners.
So please accept my sympathies and remember your husband/father as I will as just of those "good guys" who earned everyone's respect.
Very truly yours
Les Solomon

I wish I could of met you a whole lot more times than I did. When I found out what happened I just kept on wondering why God took you and not somebody else. That night I went to bed I realized that God took you for a good reason. He took you because you are a loving, caring, wonderful Uncle,Dad,and husband to Aunt Andrea. He just needed another "ANGEL" that is loving and caring. The only good thing right now is that you are in a better place. Every night from now on I will pray for you right before I fall asleep. When I met you, I knew you were an "ANGEL" to begin with. I will love you forever and always!
I miss you Uncle Hector!

Many tell me that I shouldn't feel those discusting regrets for not being able to see you, but I do. When I see pictures of you smiling your bright, beautiful smile it gives me a great urge to want and see it in person. I may drown in puddles of tears, and think about how many miss you, but that only goes to show how much I dearly love you. I've wished to have known you better just so I can grow upon you more. You are an amazing uncle who deserves better than what you had to go through. I try to think of it as this: God needs another angel, so why not get one? He has seen you and how many people you touch and he thought 'Wow, this guy is what I've been looking for. He deserves to have so many people in his life as he did, and I'm proud.' Uncle Hector, you are an angel and many wish to be as successful as you. I'll continue to listen to those amazing stories about you, and I'll grow more than ever. My prayers are with you Uncle Hector. I love and miss you.
Love you,

Hector, I still can't believe what has happened recently and I find myself grieving much more than usual. I know if you could, you would have the perfect reassurances and words to make me and everyone else understand and feel better. I know there's a reason for this but these reasons are too hard to find and too long to wait for. Until then Hector, I will be holding you in my heart along with everyone else who loves you. You will be in our thoughts everyday and the enormous void you have left in the family will be a constant reminder of your wisdom, kindness, and especially that smile. I miss you so much already and as I look at your picture while I'm writing this, I get flashbacks of everytime I've been in you're presence, and in my mind, it's always the same smiling face. I really just want to thank you for your love and hospitality and assure you that your life has meant quite a bit to a lot of people. You've accomplished so much in your short time and finding the time for the amount of love you have given is really something to find the upmost of pride in. I have such wonderful memories from when our daughters danced together and we went to competitions and our sons played together (i.e. Virginia Beach). He was the most compassionate, thoughtful and generous man I know. Together Hector and Andrea were a beautiful couple - very caring and generous and really great fun to be around. I always felt good when I was in their company because they both had very positive attitudes and outlook on life. He will be missed by many and not forgotten. Hector,
It truely is amazing how many lives you have effected in your short time here on earth. How does one man make such an impact on so many lives in so many different ways. I sit and read in amazement all of the tributes and see and feel the sadness and disbelief in the family and friends you have left behind. Now I lie sleepless at night wondering why God would take a man, a GREAT MAN that is loved by so many and has helped and would have continued to help so many people and will be missed by so many people. Why would you be summoned to Heaven so soon. Why would God send for you when there are so many others to choose from. The only answered I could come up with is that you have got to be needed by him to help spread the Love, Kindness and Joy that you have done for so many here, God must have thought your work was done here and you are needed in Heaven to help him make Heaven a better place for all of us that will follow behind you. You will be truely missed by me Hector and I now even I have become a better man because I have been touched by your presence. Thank you for all that you have done for everyone and may God Bless You.
You will be Truely Missed,

Hector was such a proud, loving and adoring Husband and Father. His spirit was always so gentle, kind and warm. Although he is no longer with us I beleive that his spirit will live on in all the lives he touched and his memory will NEVER be forgotten.
Tanya and Nick....the two of you 'especially' will forever be part of your Father. Together with your Mother, they raised such a fine young woman and young man that anyone would be SO PROUD of. I know your Dad will forever be shining down on you with pride and joy. Even if someone did not know your Father, all they would need to do is look at the two of you and realize how special he really was.

The Plan of the Master Weaver
Our lives are but fine weavings
That God and we prepare,
Each life becomes a fabric planned
And Fashioned in his care.
We may not always see
Just how the weavings intertwine,
But we must trust the Master's hand and follow his design,
For he can view the pattern upon the upper side,
While we must look from underneath and trust in him to guide....
Sometimes a strand of sorrow is added to his plan,
and though it's difficult for us,
We still must understand
That it's he who fills the shuttle,
It's he who knows what's best,
So we much weave in patience
And leave to him the rest....
Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why -
The dark threads are as needed
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern he has planned.
Thinking of You
At this time of your loss...

The moment I think of our family, the first people that shine above all has always been Hector and Andrea. Hector, although you were not the loudest family member, your deep soft-spoken words captivated our hearts. Without loud spoken words, debates or lectures, you have gained the respect of everyone who was blessed to have known you. You never pushed to become center of attention, yet we all strived to become more like you. Your kind nature was never announced, yet you made us all feel protected. You have always displayed the strongest of strengths yet the gentlest kindness. You never bragged about your intelligence yet we all envied your wisdom. Your success was displayed in ever aspect of your life; your marriage, your children and your career yet you empathized with others as they struggled through difficult times in their lives without judgment and criticism. Hector, you have shown our family so much love. You leave an empty void in all of our hearts, which will continue to be filled with your memories and the warmth of your amazing presence and loving eyes.
