Lorraine May Hellriegel ( Hirt) passed away at St. Clares Hospital in Dover on February 11, 2007. She was 90 years old.
Born and raised in Irvington, she had later moved to Rockaway, NJ in 1969.
Lorraine had worked for the State Police Training Commission in Newark for 20+ years before retiring in 1981.
She had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway and was part of the Morning Trio bowling league in Rockaway.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Benjamin Richard Hellriegel who passed away in 1989, her Son Richard James Hellriegel who passed away in 2001, and sister Viola Hirt in 1963.
Her Daughters Lorraine Pless of Miramar Beach, FL, Kathleen Hammer of Henryville, PA and Deborah Harrington of Rockaway, NJ survives her. Her 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and sister, Leona Boyea of Malone, NY also survives her.
