Obituary of Carmella Buttles

Carmella Ferrante Buttles, 85, died on Wednesday Jan. 3, 2007 at Kimble Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Nutley, NJ most of her life moving to Bloomfield and finally to Toms River, in 2000.
She had been a seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 144 & 145 in Passaic, NJ.
Her passions were sewing, and playing bingo and the slots, especially in Atlantic City.
Her husband Walter J. Buttles died in 1979.
She is survived by her children and their spouses Rosemarie and George Jenik of Toms River, and Patrick and Marie Buttles of Webster, NY. Her seven grandchildren and their spouses, Samuel and Rhonda Gaccione, Michael Gaccione and Rachel Vasile, Gary and Nicole Gruber, Colleen and Mike Pangallo, Patrick and Robin Buttles, Janine Jenik, and Joseph Jenik. She is also survived by her nine great grandchildren Joey, Taylor, Jason, Kaitlyn, Mikey, Trevor, Patrick, Andrew, and Brian. Also a brother Jerry Ferrante of Belvidere, NJ, and five sisters, Anna Roselli, Madeline Seitz of Whiting, Joan Kelly and Carol Spirko, all of Whiting, NJ and Thersea Orlando of Verona.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ on Saturday Jan. 6, 2007 at 9:30 AM for an 11:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Francis Chapel in Denville. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations are being accepted to Make a Wish Foundation.
