Harold J. Ayres passed away at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ on September 16, 2006.
He was 87 years old.
Born in Dover, he had lived in Denville before moving to the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Twp., NJ in 1961.
Harold had served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He had worked as a boiler maker for L.L. Koven in Dover for 40 years before retiring in 1981.
Harold was a member of the V.F.W. post 9238, the American Legion Post 341, the Rockaway Twp. Social Club and he was a committeeman for the Denville Boy Scouts Troop 17.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Hermina J. (Everhart) of Rockaway Twp. NJ. He is also survived by his sons Rodney G. , and Wayne R. Ayres both of Rockaway twp., NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Funeral at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Wednesday September 20, at 10AM. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
