Elsie Miriam Heise Hoffman, 92, passed away on Sunday February 1, 2015 at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna. Born in Brooklyn, "Mim" raised her family in Parsippany. She was a loving and caring homemaker and mother to her four children. Miriam also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Riverside Hospital in Boonton. After retiring, she moved to Whiting, NJ with her husband Charles Hoffman. In Whiting, Miriam volunteered at the Popcorn Park Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. Her grandchildren have happy memories of their visits to the Popcorn Zoo. After the death of her husband, she moved to Cook's Pond Senior Housing in Denville. She is survived by her adored children Robert Lee Heise of Basel, Switzerland, Janet Lynn Heise of Parsippany, Pamela Quarnoccio and her husband Ross of Trenton, FL, Deborah Emmons and her husband Mark of Denville as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
