My deepest sympathies to your family. We were very blessed to have Mrs. D as a neighbor. She was always very nice to me. However, I do remember her not having any tolerance for shenanigans. She was truely old school. Nothing but love and respect to Mrs. D!!!!

We will always remember Aunt Carol fondly. Whether it be during her years in Nutley, Bloomfield, or Denville, Aunt Carol was always the type of person that had wonderful and positive things to say about others. Her very long and positive marriage to our Uncle Bob served as an extremely positive example for all of us family members that have been married for many years. We will always recall Uncle Bob referring to Aunt Carol as "His Bride".
Aunt Carol will be greatly missed by all of the members of the DiGiovanna Family.
Love
Jimmy and Francine DiGiovanna

I have very fond memories of Mrs. D. While my siblings had more of an opportunity to grow up with the DiGiovanna kids and I came along a few years later, I remember many fun times with the entire DiGiovanna family. Mrs. D. was always someone my family looked forward to seeing when we visit New Jersey. She is missed very much and our prayers are with the entire family.
With much love from Canada,
Scott, Liz, Megan, Katelyn, & Erin

Our deepest sympathies to the entire DiGiovanna family. Our families have been neighbors for decades. Our children grew up together and played sports together. We always enjoyed the summer get togethers and St. Mary's parties and functions. Carol will be missed by many. The world lost a very lovely lady.

We are all very sorry for your loss. "Mrs. D" was a very loving and wonderful woman. Growing up, I remember her always worrying about everybody else, because that's the way she was, very selfless. And calm. Most people with a plethora of children running around their house all summer would be exasperated, but not her. She cheerfully went about her business of running a household and raising a family and did it well. Although, if someone got out of hand, she had no problem letting you know, even if they weren't her kid, haha. I do remember one such instance where she didn't particularly care for my actions (or more likely my sarcasm, can't remember which) and promptly started swiping me with the mop in her hand. Trying desperately not to smirk at my indiscretionitory (but undoubtedly funny) comment. Ahhh, those were the good ole days of summer in the hood. Just a peach of a woman. Well we grew up and most of us had families of our own, and every time we saw her, she would tell us how beautiful or wonderful or great our children were or ask about them. Truly waiting to hear the answer. If you asked her about her grandchildren, she would go on and on..... She was sooo proud of them all. Once a mother, always a mother is how I think of her. Time to rest, mama. You will be missed but Heaven gained one heck of an Angel. Peace and love be with the DiGiovanna Family. We love you.
