Dorothea M. Young (nee Knollhuff), 83, died Wednesday, November 19th at the Hospice of NJ Center in Wayne following a long illness.
Dorothea was born July 21, 1931 in Lyndhurst, NJ and grew up in the Rainbow Lakes section of Parsippany. She lived in Denville for the last 59 years as an exceptional wife, homemaker and mother of six.
She leaves her husband of 64 years, Overton J. (Jack) Young Jr.; her sons Robert, Brian, Overton (Jay) and David; her daughters Kathy Bessler and Karin Nestor; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many more loving relatives, caretakers and devoted friends.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, November 24th at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at the Rockaway Presbyterian Cemetery.
