Chlodnicki, 88, died at his home in Denville on Mon. Nov. 17, 2014. Adam was born and raised in Rockaway and moved to Denville in 1950. His family started Adams Beer Garden in Rockaway and after working with his father he and his wife Jean bought the Beer Garden in 1957. He later sold it in 1992, but stayed on up until two months ago. He was stationed in the Pacific during WWII serving in the US Navy on a PT Boat. He loved his country and all kinds of sports has been an active member of the Roc-Den American Legion Post #175 in Rockaway. He had served as the captain when he played semi pro football for the Rockaway Iron Dukes in 1947. His wife Jean E. died on Dec. 12, 1988 and his son Adam died in 2007. He is survived by his daughter Carol and Jerry Wilson of Peterborough, NH, his son Kevin Chlodkicki and his fiance Linda Stark both of Denville, his seven grandchildren Danielle & Mike Terruso of PA, Adam Chlodnicki of SC, Pamela & Michael Hellein of VT, Megan & Scott Turchetti of NH, Adam & Samantha Wilson of NJ, Renee Chlodnicki and Monique Chlodnicki both of NJ and his two sisters Isabelle Boisvert of Mine Hill and Jenny Chlodnicki of Rockaway. Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ on Fri. Nov. 21, 2014 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass at St. Cecilia’s Church in Rockaway, NJ.
