Anne M. MacDonald (Toresco) passed away at her home in Denville, NJ on September 20, 2014.
She was 83 years old.
She was born in Plainfield and lived in Denville, NJ since 1955 with her husband of 57 years, John "Jack" MacDonald who passed away in 2008.
Anne is survived by her children Jim and his wife Janet MacDonald of Mendham, Joan and her husband Sam Krall of Rockaway Twp. Anne MacDonald of Salisbury, CT, John and his wife Kate MacDonald of Lower Nazareth, PA and Tom and his wife Zerlina MacDonald of Jefferson Twp., NJ. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Stephanie, Meredith, Michael, Duggan, Stephan, Colleen, Matthew, Michelle, Daniel, Ryan, and her great grandson William born one year ago to Meredith & Marc Hungarter. Anne is also survived by her dear sisters in law, Mary Ford, Dolores MacDolnald, Mary Irene MacDonald and Louise Toresco.
Anne was predeceased by her parents Dominic and Anna Toresco. She was also predeceased by her siblings Ben Toresco, Lee Toresco, Mary Knemoeller and Evelyn Schroeder.
She was a member of the Peace Pipe Country Club, a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Church and she was an avid Mahjong player.
Anne spent many years working as an administrative assistant to the Denville Township Administrator, the Police Chief and the Twp. Engineer for many years before retiring in 1999.
Funeral services will begin at 9AM on Friday September 26, 2014 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 and then going to St. Mary's Church in Denville for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass. Interment will follow at Denville Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8PM.
