George Conrad Laurie passed away in Dover, NJ on September 18, 2014.
He was 69 years old.
George was born and raised and spent most of his life in Dover, NJ.
He worked in computer operations for P.F.C.U. in Rockaway Twp., NJ for many years.
Some of his loves in life were working as a radio announcer & D.J. as well as the Dover Area Historical Society which he was a trustee of, as well as the author of their newsletter and the curator of the museum. He was also co-author of the book Dover: Images of America.
He was predeceased by his brother Maurice D. Laurie in 2011.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Lynn Elizabeth (Acker) Laurie of Dover, NJ. He is also survived by his loving children Sean Conrad Laurie of Dover and Blair Alyssa Laurie of NY City.
His brothers Frank Laurie of Lake Hopatcong and Robert Laurie of Randolph also survive him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
