Juanita Svendsen, 74, passed away at her home, on Sunday, August 24th, surrounded by her loving family. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 3-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Juanita was born and raised in Livingston, NJ. In 1954, she met Neil Svendsen at the Livingston movie theatre. They fell in love and married a few years later. The couple settled in the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway Township and started their family. Juanita was an amazing wife, mother, and "Grandy"; always putting her family first in everything she did. She was a school bus driver for the Rockaway Township Board of Education for over 40 years. Juanita was an avid quilter and active member of the West Morris Heritage Quilters Guild; she loved skiing and golfing and was a member of the Craigmeur Ski Club of Rockaway. Above all; she loved spending time with her family.
Predeceased by her son Neil Jr.; she leaves happy memories to her loving husband Neil; dear children James, Laura Gockeler (William), Suzanne Cimbal (Warren); adoring grandchildren
Derek Svendsen, Darren, Drew and Ryan Cimbal, and Peri and Wyatt Gockeler; brother Leslie Heskitt (Susan); and many more loving relatives and friends. Juanita truly was adored by her family. She will be missed dearly and will live forever in their hearts and minds.
