Juanita Svendsen, 74, passed away at her home, on Sunday, August 24th, surrounded by her loving family. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 3-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. To light a candle, please go to www.normandean.com Juanita was born and raised in Livingston, NJ. In 1954, she met Neil Svendsen at the Livingston movie theatre. They fell in love and married a few years later. The couple settled in the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway Township and started their family. Juanita was an amazing wife, mother, and "Grandy"; always putting her family first in everything she did. She was a school bus driver for the Rockaway Township Board of Education for over 40 years. Juanita was an avid quilter and active member of the West Morris Heritage Quilters Guild; she loved skiing and golfing and was a member of the Craigmeur Ski Club of Rockaway. Above all; she loved spending time with her family. Predeceased by her son Neil Jr.; she leaves happy memories to her loving husband Neil; dear children James, Laura Gockeler (William), Suzanne Cimbal (Warren); adoring grandchildren Derek Svendsen, Darren, Drew and Ryan Cimbal, and Peri and Wyatt Gockeler; brother Leslie Heskitt (Susan); and many more loving relatives and friends. Juanita truly was adored by her family. She will be missed dearly and will live forever in their hearts and minds.
