Obituary of Jack Heintzelman

Jack Heintzelman boarded his heavenly train on June 23, 2014, having arrived in Harrisburg, PA in 1941. He was 73 years old. Jack grew up in Camp Hill, PA. and graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1963. In 1968 he moved to New Jersey, settling in Rockaway where he has lived for over 40 years.
Jack spent 20 plus years in the personnel field, most notably with Automatic Switch and Amerace Corporation. He retired from AT&T Wireless after 18 years where he had been NE Regional Mgr., Corporate Real Estate. He was active in civic and professional groups. Jack was past President of the North Jersey Personnel Association and the Hackettstown Rotary Club where he was also a Paul Harris Fellow. Jack served his country in the US Army Reserves and Pa Air National Guard.
Jack enjoyed his bi-weekly Friday night poker game for 40 plus years, frequent rounds of fun-filled humorous golf with Brant, Ed, John, Sam, Mike and others and SHU basketball games for more than 40 years.
Surviving are his wife Barbara, whom he married in 1976, his son Jeffrey, daughter Jennifer Eck (Jason), grandchildren Brady and Charlotte, brother Richard (Doris), brother in laws Richard (Susan) and Steven (Kim), and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27th at 11am at the Chapel at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
