OTHER INFORMATION: Ciro J. Aragona, 95, died on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ He was born in NYC, grew up in Newark, and lived in Whippany, before moving to Rockaway in 2002. Ciro was a veteran of WWII, where he served in the US Army in Italy, Sicily and North Africa with the 88th Division "Blue Devils". After the war, Ciro completed pharmacy school and later owned Ciro’s Pharmacy in Whippany from 1958 to 1976. Subsequently he worked at the Veteran’s Hospital in Orange and several other hospitals. Family was the most important part of Ciro’s life and he loved the classical arts, especially opera. He passed this love on to his children and grandchildren. His daughter in-law Irene passed away in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie, as well as his sons Steven of Nutley and his fiancee Lori Wnek, and David and Antonetta of Montville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christina Aragona, Jennifer Aragona and her husband Alexander Lindroth, David Aragona, and Diane Aragona and her fiancée Charles Salamone. Visiting hours will be held on Thurs. June 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
