Eldon Smith, Denville
Eldon Ward Smith, 85, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 9th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 16th at 9:30 am at Saint Catherine of Sienna Church, Mountain Lakes. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Born to the late Harold and Marion, Eldon was one of three children. He was raised on Long Island, and moved to East Hanover, NJ in 1976. After his schooling, he proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge he graduated from NY State University and began his career as an architectural designer. He was employed by Nabisco Brands from 1964 through his retirement in 1992.
Predeceased by his wife Anne; he is survived by his children Kenneth (Rosemary), Kathleen Fisher (Christopher), and Diane Poltorak (George); his grandchildren Rachel, Christine, Ryan, Laura, Shannon and Daniel Smith, Zachary Fisher, and Dylan and Dana Poltorak; and his sister Katherine Fugit.
