Obituary of Oliver Anthony Benson

Oliver Anthony Benson XIII passed away at Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ on May 3, 2014.
He was 72 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY he moved to Denville, NJ 27 years ago.
Tony earned his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Pratt Institute and worked as the Vice President and Director of Marketing for Georgia Tufted Sales in New York City.
He learned to fly at the age 14 in Long Island, NY and was a nationally ranked competition glider pilot as well as past president and current certified flight instructor of Aero Club Albatross, the longest operating glider club in the United States. He was also a permanent guest member of the Denville American Legion Post #390.
Tony was best known for his big heart and sense of humor and will be missed by many.
He was predeceased by his son Russell Benson in 1998.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Madeline M. (Buchholz) Benson of Denville, and his son Brian Oliver Benson of NJ and his sister Genevieve Marceau of NV.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 4, 2014, at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 from 5-9PM. Graveside services will be held on Monday May 5, at 10AM at the chapel at Our Lady of Magnificat Cemetery in Kinnelon, NJ.
