Anthony J. Lagomarsino, 84, passed away suddenly, on Friday, April 18th. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11 am at St. Jude Parish, Hopatcong. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's name may be made to St. Jude Parish, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ 07843. Born in NYC, to the late Joseph and Mary, Anthony was an only child. After high school, he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University earning his BA. He proudly served his country in the US Army Signal Corp after his college career. He married Rita Cademartori in 1956 and the couple settled in Oradell where they would raise their six children. Anthony was an accountant, working for numerous corporations through the years. He was a Scout Master of Troop #36, active father in scouting for many years, and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication and many years of service; a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus; two term councilman in Oradell; and in the American Legion. He truly enjoyed the scouts and being outdoors; but above all, he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife Rita of 58 years; his children Joan Lagomarsino (Bruce Schoneman), Tony (Jennifer), Steve (Kerry), Robert (Angela), Andrew (Edwin Glassing), and Anne Lagomarsino; his six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many more loving relatives and friends.
