Obituary of Lorrie Ann Garabrant
Lorrie Ann Garabrant, of Denville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was 76 years young. Daughter of the late Woodrow Mills and Bertha Van Duyne, she was one of 3 children. On September 26, 1964 she married her soulmate and love of her life, Gene Garabrant. Together they had two beautiful children and relocated from Rockaway to Denville in 1968. Lorrie was born to be a Mother and she was the best one anyone could’ve ever dreamt of. Her grandchildren were her first priority in her life and she spent all the time she could with them, especially taking shopping trips, and spending time in the Poconos with family. She was a member of the Ladies Emblem Club and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. A hard worker, she has worked for 35 years at Denville Township Municipal Court as the Court Administrator, having worked for Rockaway Borough for 3 years prior. Lorrie has left us a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unconditional love that will remain in our hearts for an eternity.
Predeceased by her siblings, Marie and Fred, she leaves a lifetime of happy memories to her beloved husband of 54 years, Gene Garabrant; her adored children, Gene Garabrant and his wife Christine and Beth Ann Garabrant; her cherished grandchildren, Gene and Tyler Garabrant, Nicole Kelly and her husband Brian, Jessica, Kelsey, and Samantha Shalongo; and many extended family and friends.
