Charles Cochran, of Boonton Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 75 years young.
Born in Dover to the late David R. Cochran, Sr. and Gladys Lattig, Charles has been a lifelong resident of Denville. He married the love of his life, Diane Frankenbush in 1962. Together they have a beautiful family. Charles was a hard and dedicated worker, working for many years for Shop Rite in Rockaway before retiring as Director of Human Services. After retirement, he worked for 10 years at Rite Aid Pharmacy in Denville, working his way up to Store Manager.
Charles loved to go fishing, especially at Beaver Brook in Denville. He was a loyal and faithful member of Peace Pipe Country Club, spending a lot of time golfing. Above anything else, his family was his pride and joy. He was a phenomenal provider, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. We will forever treasure the wonderful memories he has left us.
Left to continue his legacy of unconditional love and commitment is his beloved wife of 56 years, Diane; his adored children, Dan Cochran and his wife Lucia, Sheila O’Dell and her husband John, and Kenneth Cochran and his wife Sandi; his cherished grandchildren, Johnny O’Dell, Erin O’Dell, Cole Cochran, David Cochran, Charlie Eiserle, and Thomas Eiserle; his caring siblings, Jane Rey and her husband Arnold, Grace Pare and her husband Roland, David Cochran, Jr., and Donald Cochran; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
