Dorothy J. Anderson, 78, passed away at home on Monday, March 17th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 20th at 1pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Boonton. Visiting hours will be held at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, beginning at 10 am prior to the Mass. Committal services at Our Lady of The Isle Cemetery, Shelter Island, NY.
Born to the late William and Frances Paul, Dorothy was one of two children. She was raised in Jackson Heights and Shelter Island, before settling in Lake Intervale over 50 years ago with her husband John, where they raised their family of four. Dorothy was very artistic, spending many hours painting and drawing. She enjoyed biking, swimming and many trips to Jones Beach and the Jersey Shore.
Predeceased by her husband John J.; she is survived by her loving children Dorothy Boyce (Neal), Margaret Moratz (Martin), John T., and James (Kimberle); her grandchildren Amy, Patrick and Katrina Moratz; and many more relatives and friends.
