Barbara Margotta (nee Massaro), 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13th at Kindred Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17th at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Interment to follow at the Denville Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass beginning at 10 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY, 10016.
Raised in Queens, NY, Barbara was one of three children. She lived in East Hanover for many years before moving closer to her family in Denville. She was an avid reader, and a huge movie buff; but above all, she loved spending time with her granddaughters. She was an Executive Assistant for many companies throughout her lifetime, but spent most of her working years working for BASF Corporation.
Predeceased by her parents Clement and Jean; she is survived by her loving family, daughter, Leean Hunchak (Joseph); granddaughters, Carolina and Kayla Hunchak; companion, Robert McGuire; siblings, Carole Boughton and John Massaro; nieces, Kristen Attolino, Jackie Boughton, Jennifer Felner, and Alyson Popel; nephew, Matthew Massaro (Gina); aunts and uncles, Anne Zagajeski, Ed & Claire Zagajeski, and Louise Zagajeski; stepdaughter Ann Marie Amsden, and grandson Brice Amsden; and many more loving relatives and friends.
