Rose E. Collins Mathews, DDS, 51, passed away on Sunday March 2, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ.
Rose was born in Chicago, Illinois. Rose received her degree in Pre-Med from Loyola University in Chicago, and received her Doctorate in Dentistry from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She practiced with her dad, John M. Collins DDS in Mundelein, IL, and her brother Anthony Collins DDS. She married her husband Kevin in 1991 and started a family. Kevin's employment in 1995 took his family to Scottsdale, AZ, and in 2002 to 2011 to London, England, and in 2011 to New York City where they became residents of Randolph, New Jersey. Rose home schooled all five of her children and her family are members of the Christ the King Church in Denville, New Jersey.
Rose is survived by her loving husband, Kevin, her cherished children, Charles, Daniel, John, Katherine, and Elizabeth, and her parents, John M. Collins DDS and her mother Bruni, and her siblings, Gina Collins Dahlke and her husband Scott, Tim Collins and his wife Suzanne, Christopher Collins and his wife Betty, Anthony Collins DDS and his wife Andrea, and Angela Collins Hunteman and her husband EJ, and her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, New Jersey, www.normandean.com, (please share a memory of Rose on website), on Wednesday March 5th from 2-4 and 7-9pm and are also invited to attend services on Thursday March 6th at 10AM at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 450 Fells Road, Essex Fells, New Jersey. Presiding over services is Pastor Bruce Ebersole. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations Gospel for Asia which was Rose's favorite charity. They can be found at www.gfa.org
