I have a very vivid memory of walking into Mrs. Karpacks house after the EMBA finals one year and the first person I saw was Bobby and that giant smile. The house was packed with almost the whole band and everyone was in a great mood...(don't worry Mrs. K, as I recall we just had hot chocolate and read Bible verses) but Bobby walks up to me and gives me a big hug and said "ya did good buddy...ya did really good" ...something about his smile and just the chaos of the day, but it just meant so much to me at the time (and obviously still does 30 years later). Mrs. Karpack, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's only now as a parent myself, that I realize what and amazing Mom you were (and still are) for those boys and still somehow found the time to devote love and support to all of us in MKMB week in and week out. You and your family aee in my family's thoughts and prayers. Billy, give your Mom a hug for me.

I had lit a candle a couple of times here but, for some reason? It didn't seem to had gone through. So, if this is a repeat? I Appologize. Bobby? I am going to miss you Brother. You were the walking definition of a "Good Man". You can't always say among men that a person had a heart of Gold. But, with you? It was obvious. You always had true care & concern for people. That is one thing I always liked about you. And I guess one of the reasons why you became a fireman. You will be missed old friend. Every time I saw Bobby he would make me laugh somehow some way. He was always nice to me and treated me with kindness. All my memories of Bobby are good ones.. If I did not see him for months or even years, and bump into him, he would great me with a smile and we'd talk like we just hung out the day before... Words cannot express the sadness we feel right now but we will forever hold loving memories of Bobby. We know he will be watching over us and especially his "brothers" at the firehouse. Bobby was a once in a lifetime friend, one who was always there to lend a hand (as long as it didn't involve going up a ladder), to make you smile (even when you didn't want to!) and to make life around him an adventure no matter what you were doing.
We have been truly blessed to have him as part of our lives and the many wonderful memories of him will last a lifetime.

Bobby, I cant seem to grasp the thought of you gone. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish you knew that there are so many people that love you.
