James Joseph Farley Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2016 in Haskell, NJ.
James was born on September 23, 1928 in Newark, NJ. He stayed in Newark and raised his family; his greatest passion and love. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, always putting his family first.
In his early years James served our country in the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was a hard worker and true handyman. Following his service he became an installations manager at NJ Bell Telephone Company where he eventually retired from.
He is predeceased by his first wife Margarette Miller, 1986, and his second wife Marjorie Braun. He leaves happy memories to his caring sons James Farley Jr. and wife Colleen; Matthew Farley and wife Kathleen; Randy Farley and wife Robin; his loving daughter Patti Dissinger and husband Tony; beloved grandchildren James Farley and his wife Courtney Pocaro, Tommy Farley and his wife Caitlin White, Danny, Jessica, Randy, Aaron, Tynen and Calen Farley, Maggie and Maria Dissinger; adoring great-granddaughter Quinn Farley and many other loving nieces, nephews and great friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
