A native of Brooklyn, New York, James was born on Dec. 18, 1933. James is survived by his five children, Caren and her husband John, James, Meg, Claudine, and Thomas and his wife Allison, and their loving mother Margaret Rankin, five grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Thomas, Maxwell, and Daniel, as well as his sister, Jean, and brother, William, and his stepchildren Linda and her husband Curtis, Robert and his wife Donna, and James and his wife Laura. He will be missed. James’ funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ (please light a candle in memory of James on website), www.normandean.com, on Monday August 6th at 8:45am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Catherine of Sienna Church Mountain Lakes, NJ committal and interment service at Rockaway Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rockaway, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday August 5th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations the John Theuer Cancer Center, 92 Second St., Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated. If you wish to send flowers please make it an all white floral arrangement.
